Vision
Our vision is to provide such Materials Master Data Management Solutions to our clients, that they embrace us as an indispensable extension of themselves.
Approach
Our pre-defined structure and terminology allow us to tailor inventory data uniquely to each individual client’s needs. Our software tools, which have been developed in-house over our twenty-two years of business, give us the flexibility to structure your information to your customized requirements.
Dedicated Project Team
I.M.A. Ltd. will establish a dedicated project team which consists of: Project Leader, IT Resource(s) and various support staff based on the scope of each project. The project team will participate in weekly conferences calls to discuss project progress, obstacles, and solutions.Project Leader will assume overall responsibility of the data management process and assists in resolving any concerns that may arise.IT Resource(s) will interact with the IT Manager to ensure that data is sent and received in an efficient manner. The majority of the IT Resource’s time is required upfront to receive and format data to our internal software and again in uploading the final database to be sent back to the client.
Maintenance / Stores Resources
It is anticipated that approximately 10% of MRO items will have an inadequate amount of information for I.M.A. Ltd. to fully cleanse. Clients will require their own internal resources to review the list of items with missing information. Using the bin location and Item number they will be required to physically search out the part and provide enough additional information (Manufacturer Name, Manufacturer Part Number, Basic description, etc.) to allow I.M.A. Ltd. to complete the data cleansing, standardization and enhancement process.
Purchasing / Stores Personnel
Implementing the inventory rationalization efforts will take considerable time from Purchasing / Stores personnel for up to three months. Efforts include: establishing Preferred Supplier programs, negotiating returns, optimizing stocking levels and creating inventory strategies. I.M.A. Ltd. would be available to assist with any of these efforts.

History
Jim Calvert, Chairman & Founder
Jim began his career in the early seventies in sales within the Bearing and Power Transmission vertical. Prior to incorporating I.M.A. in 1989 he held a Corporate Sales position with a leading Canadian distribution company. It was the hands on experience that allowed Jim to realize the challenges organizations were facing with poor data and proper inventory management. The I.M.A. concept and vision was to establish a niche focus within these core services through the development of internal software tools. The business model has created an excellent foundation for Charlene and her management team to introduce the next generation of services and software. After retiring in 2012, Jim assumed the Chairman position to provide both guidance and support into the future.
