MRO Material Master
Data Cleansing

Developed and refined over 30 years of business, IMA’s industry leading MRO Material Master Data Cleansing services ensure the highest level of data quality and consistency.
As pioneers in MRO (Maintenance, Repairs and Operations) data management, IMA offers a data cleansing service unlike any other. IMA understands that each customer and industry is unique, therefore, materials data must be cleansed accordingly. Using a strategic combination of automated and manual procedures, along with industry best practice standards, IMA is able to tailor data to the specific business and system requirements of each customer. Throughout the process, IMA standardizes, enhances, and validates raw data to provide a material master that is consistent, attribute-rich, and free of duplication. Once clean, materials data is then formatted to meet the specific configuration requirements of the chosen ERP/EAM/CMMS, including field type, character limitation, and data arrangement.

Unless otherwise specified we strive the achieve a Level 3 Item Enhancement on every item within your material master. If we are unable to do so we perform a Level 2 Standardization or Level 1 Cosmetic Cleanse. Accordingly we charge only for the work performed. Tools and Methodology
IMA utilizes a proven combination of proprietary software, manual subject matter expertise and industry best practices. Throughout 28 years of business, IMA has developed and continues to refine an internal cleansing toolset, which includes the proprietary IMA Noun-Modifier Dictionary, Master Parts Library and Data Mining Software.

The IMA Noun Modifier Dictionary is an internally developed best practice naming convention for MRO parts and services. The Dictionary is comprised of 2,200 Noun-Modifier pairs, each with 5 to 7 (or more) descriptive attributes. The IMA Noun Modifier Dictionary may be modified and customized as required based on customer and industry requirements.
The IMA Master Parts Library is a dynamic and continuously growing data repository, which contains millions of MRO and OEM part records, each with consistent, validated, attribute-rich descriptions. The IMA Master Parts Library is one of IMA's most valuable intellectual assets, which is used exclusively for internal data cleansing services, and is not available to the market.
MRO Product Classification
IMA is proud to support various international and custom MRO product classification systems to suit the unique requirements of each customer. Based on the business objectives, industry, and application, IMA is able to accurately implement and maintain product group (class) codes and descriptions for each individual material record, enabling maximum spend visibility and leverage opportunities. What that means is that Procurement professionals can spend less time sorting through data and more time establishing preferred vendor programs to achieve spend reduction targets.
